North Miami Beach Pink Police Mustang Breast Cancer Awareness Project
Planning a Campaign Vehicle near Miami, FL?
The North Miami Beach Police Department used this Ford Mustang GT for a breast cancer awareness campaign. CWD Wrap changed the original blue-gray exterior to sparkling pink and added police markings, pink ribbons, “Breast Cancer Awareness,” and “Faith Over Fear.”
The project needed to support the campaign while keeping the department name easy to recognize. The finished design does both without adding more wording than people can read quickly.
(305) 308-7604How Breast Cancer Awareness Shaped the Design
Breast cancer awareness was not added as a small decal or secondary detail. It shaped the entire look of the Mustang, from the sparkling pink finish to the ribbons and campaign wording.
The department markings remained prominent, so the cause was clear without making the vehicle difficult to recognize as a North Miami Beach Police car.

The design uses the main areas of the Mustang for different parts of the message.

06The larger graphics can be read from a distance, while the hood artwork becomes clearer when someone sees the vehicle up close. The layout keeps the department name and breast cancer awareness message separate enough that neither becomes difficult to read.
Planning the custom wrap design and artwork around the full vehicle allowed the ribbons, lettering, and pink finish to feel connected rather than applied as unrelated elements.
Keeping the Police Markings Clear
The Mustang looks completely different after the wrap, but it is still immediately recognizable as a North Miami Beach Police vehicle.
The department name remains prominent on both doors. Police lettering is also visible from the front and rear, so the vehicle can be identified from several angles. Black, white, and pale pink graphics provide clear contrast against the sparkling background.
This balance is important when vehicle graphics need to carry a campaign message alongside existing organizational identification. The campaign elements should be noticeable without making the department name harder to find.
How CWD Wrapped the Ford Mustang GT
Project photos show the Mustang during installation, with sections of the original blue-gray exterior still visible as the pink film was applied.

The wrap covers the main exterior panels, including the roof, hood, doors, fenders, bumpers, and rear quarter panels. The sparkling texture is visible in close-up photos and becomes more noticeable in direct sunlight.
The Mustang’s raised hood, rounded fenders, recessed door areas, and front bumper openings required the film and graphics to follow several changes in shape. Those body lines also influenced where the campaign wording could be placed without becoming distorted or difficult to read.
Each Ford model presents a different layout, which is why Ford-specific wrap and graphics planning needs to account for the exact vehicle rather than relying on a standard template.
How the Campaign Message Works Across the Car
This keeps the design readable. The car does not need several slogans or long blocks of copy. The department name, campaign purpose, ribbon, and hood message provide enough information.

The side view provides the clearest overview of the project. North Miami Beach Police is the largest text, followed by the breast cancer awareness message toward the rear.

From the front, the hood graphic becomes the focus. The pink ribbon identifies the cause, while “Faith Over Fear” adds a short message of support. The windshield lettering keeps the police identity visible above it.

The rear uses simpler police markings, allowing the car to remain recognizable without repeating the entire campaign message on every panel.
The Finished North Miami Beach Pink Police Car
The completed vehicle has a sparkling pink finish, large North Miami Beach Police graphics, breast cancer awareness wording, and ribbon details that continue from the front to the sides.
The design is bright, but it is not random. The pink finish is connected to the cause, the police graphics identify the department, and the additional wording explains the purpose of the project.
This is what separates the Mustang from a personal color-change wrap. It was created for a specific awareness campaign and designed around the message the department wanted residents to see.

08How This Project Compares With Other Campaign Vehicles

The North Miami Beach Police Mustang project involved one car and one clear message, so the layout could be tailored to its body lines. Larger event and campaign vehicle projects face a different challenge: keeping one campaign recognizable across cars, vans, buses, or trailers.

The Miss USA anniversary vehicle branding project, for example, carried the same event identity across three buses and a Sprinter van. Both projects needed readable graphics that communicated quickly, but one focused on a single public-awareness vehicle while the other required consistency across a mixed fleet.
