A box truck gives your business plenty of space to be seen, but that space is rarely as simple as it looks. Rivets, seams, body material, rear doors, liftgate hardware, cab shape, old graphics, and past repairs all affect the design and installation.

Send photos, measurements, and any available brand files when you request a box truck wrap quote.

YOUR BOX TRUCK IS MORE THAN ITS CHASSIS

We design, print, and install box truck wraps in Miami for delivery companies, movers, contractors, distributors, restoration teams, and other businesses that depend on straight trucks. If your company also operates vans, pickups, trailers, or service cars, one commercial wrap plan for the vehicles you use can keep the branding connected without forcing the same layout onto every body.

The badge on the cab does not tell us what is behind it. An Isuzu, Hino, Ford, Chevrolet, Freightliner, or Ram chassis may carry a box made by a different manufacturer. That box has its own dimensions, material, doors, hardware, and repair history.

To plan the wrap, we need to know a few things about the actual truck.

01The exterior length and height of the box
02The body material and finish, including flat, riveted, coated, fiberglass-reinforced, or corrugated panels
03The rear-door setup, including roll-up doors, swing doors, hinges, latches, and windows
04The position of the liftgate, controls, lights, steps, and safety markings
05The cab year, make, model, paint condition, mirrors, doors, and trim
06Any old vinyl, adhesive, oxidation, repaint work, dents, or corrosion

A local delivery truck, moving truck, refrigerated body, or straight truck up to 26 feet may need a very different layout. Trailers are planned separately and should not be treated like longer box trucks.

Box truck panel surface inspection Miami rivets oxidation adhesion test before wrap

IS THE BOX SURFACE READY FOR VINYL?

Many painted box bodies can hold commercial graphics well when the surface is clean, stable, and compatible with the vinyl. A white panel can still have chalking, oxidation, corrosion, peeling paint, rough repairs, or old adhesive that affects how the film bonds.

We inspect both the cab and box, including repaired or replaced panels, loose rivets, damaged seams, faded outlines from old lettering, roof caps, trim, refrigeration equipment, rear doors, and liftgate hardware. Some coated, fiberglass-reinforced, or heavily corrugated surfaces may need an adhesion test before the artwork is finalized.

A wrap cannot repair a weak surface. If the body or coating needs attention first, it is better to find that out before the truck is designed and printed.

RIVETS, SEAMS, AND REAR DOORS CHANGE THE WRAP

Large box sides can look like blank walls from a distance. Up close, every row of rivets, ridge, door gap, latch, and piece of hardware affects where the message can go.

01

Riveted panels need vinyl and installation methods suited to the surface. Small type should not sit where rows of rivets make it harder to read.

02

Corrugated panels break up fine details. Larger lettering and bolder graphics usually work better across repeated ridges.

03

Roll-up doors move through slats, gaps, and tracks every day. They need their own artwork plan rather than a side design stretched across the rear.

04

Swing doors divide the layout down the center. Hinges, handles, and locking bars can cut through a logo or phone number if they are ignored.

05

Liftgates can hide part of the rear graphics in different positions. Controls, lights, reflectors, warnings, and moving hardware need clear space.

Full printed coverage is not always the best choice for the rear. When movement and hardware leave limited room, a simpler logo and contact layout can be cleaner and easier to read.

GIVE EACH SIDE OF THE TRUCK A CLEAR JOB

The long side panels are often seen across several lanes or from the far side of a parking lot. The rear is usually viewed more closely in traffic or at a loading area. They do not need to carry the same amount of information.

The sides can lead with the business name, main service, and a simple visual. The rear can repeat the name and make the phone number or website easy to find. Trying to fit a full service menu on every surface usually makes the truck harder to understand.

The cab should feel connected without copying the box artwork. Its curves, windows, mirrors, handles, and trim need a lighter layout. Separate proofs for the sides, rear, and cab make it easier to see how the full truck works before anything is printed.

CHOOSE THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF COVERAGE

The right amount of coverage depends on the truck condition, factory color, brand, message, and surfaces available for vinyl.

A full box truck wrap uses the main box panels and any approved cab surfaces as one connected design.

A partial wrap covers selected areas and uses the existing body color as part of the layout.

Lettering and smaller graphics add a logo, contact details, required numbers, or printed elements without covering the full body.

The truck's color and condition often make it easier to choose between a full wrap, partial wrap, or lettering. If you mainly need DOT numbers, door logos, decals, or a smaller rear graphic, truck lettering and vehicle graphics may be enough.

FROM MEASUREMENTS TO INSTALLATION

01

Start by sending the cab year and make, box measurements, door type, liftgate details, photos, preferred coverage, and any artwork you already have. We use that information to spot obvious questions before the truck is inspected.

02

The inspection confirms the dimensions, body condition, hardware, repairs, old graphics, and surfaces included in the quote. The artwork is then prepared as separate side, rear, and cab views, so you can approve the message, colors, contact details, supplied regulatory information, and exact coverage.

03

Printing begins after the design and scope are approved. The installation schedule depends on the size of the truck, surface preparation, removal work, coverage, access needs, and the number of trucks in the project. Before pickup, the wrap is checked around panel edges, doors, liftgate hardware, lights, and reflectors.

WHAT SHAPES THE PRICE AND SCHEDULE?

Box truck wrap pricing starts with the body length and height, but size is only one factor. Surface condition, rivets, corrugation, rear-door work, liftgate hardware, cab coverage, old graphics, artwork, and truck quantity can all change the scope.

Commercial wrap prices vary by vehicle type, but your quote will reflect the specific body, its condition, coverage, and installation work involved.

ONE BOX TRUCK OR A WORKING FLEET?

Several matching trucks can share a master design, but each body still needs to be checked for differences in dimensions, door setup, repairs, and hardware.

When the lineup includes several body lengths, cab makes, vans, pickups, or trailers, fleet branding across different trucks and vehicles keeps the colors and message consistent while the layouts change with each body.

BEFORE THE TRUCK COMES IN

Before drop-off, plan to:

Empty or secure cargo that blocks access to doors and hardware
Follow the cleaning instructions provided with the appointment
Point out old graphics, adhesive, repaint work, corrosion, and body repairs
Identify racks, refrigeration equipment, cameras, sensors, liftgates, and accessories
Confirm who can approve artwork and answer production questions
Arrange route coverage while the truck is being wrapped

Old wraps and commercial graphics are inspected and quoted separately. Do not assume removal is included in the new-wrap price, especially when the existing film is aged, cracked, layered, or sitting over repaired paint.

CARE FOR GRAPHICS THAT WORK EVERY DAY

Box trucks work hard. Sun exposure, outdoor parking, frequent washing, road mileage, door movement, and loading activity all affect how the graphics age. Flat side panels usually wear differently from the cab hood, roof cap, roll-up door, handles, and liftgate areas.

Parking and panel direction also matter because Florida heat and sun affect vinyl wraps most on exposed surfaces. Wash the truck gently, keep high-pressure spray away from edges, clean contaminants promptly, and have lifted film checked before dirt and water work underneath it.
